”I attended many ECD trainings before, but I have never heard about MTB-MLE approach and materials.", said Ruth Tamang, who is an ECD teacher in Singala Secondary school in Jharlang. "Now, by observing and working together with my colleague who got the MTB-MLE training, I realize that this is very effective for small children and even for the teachers. With the help of local language and culture-based materials, the children are more curious and interested to learn. Before implementing this program we had very few materials, so the children used to take a nap for parts of the time in the classroom. Now they are active most of the time and there is no more sleeping in the classroom.”
