Introduction
Nepali National Languages Preservation Institute (NNLPI) was established in 1999 and is a registered NGO. Our main goal is to promote mother tongue based language development programs among ethno-linguistic communities within Nepal.
Vision Statement
The vision of NNLPI is to see ethno-linguistic communities actively participating in their own development and fully engaged in national life. The transformation of ethnic communities will enrich individual lives and also contribute to justice and inclusiveness in the country of Nepal.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to work alongside the many unique ethno-linguistic communities in Nepal, to be self-actuating and to contribute their strengths to benefit national life. To bring that vision into reality, we partner with like-minded organizations and individuals to provide language development and educational opportunities, both formal and non-formal, to ethno-linguistic communities who share a vision for their own development. Mother tongue based education is the starting point for our efforts.
