Three sociolinguistic surveys of the Rajbanshi language of southeastern Nepal were conducted between 2001 and 2008 to collect information for the Rajbanshi language group.
The first sociolinguistic survey was done in 2001. The main focus was on language attitudes, language use, dialects and language vitality.
Second need assessment for literacy was done in 2006. The main purpose was to collect latest information of language attitudes, language use, language vitality and need of literacy.
The third survey was done in 2008. The main focus was on the dialect preference.
